Pathways International is a Christian non-profit organization committed to making the work-travel experience for international students and our community a positive one.  We provide support, information, and resources to help them navigate and orient to a different country and culture.  We facilitate interactive events to connect the students with local families and establish lifetime relationships. Students touched by Pathways develop a new, more positive attitude toward America and Americans. We provide access to this education and the appropriate support regardless of race, nationality, religion, or ethnic origin.

 Purpose

Pathways is exclusive to the Outer Banks and the surrounding area.  This ministry grew out of the need to assist young people in a foreign land who, for the most part, are away from home for the first time.  Our volunteers act as advocates and mentors, as the students orient and navigate in a new culture and country.  Most of what they know about us and our country is through the media of television and movies. 

 Our mission is to make the most of this opportunity by demonstrating the love of Christ. The “world” comes to us through the US Department of State work/travel program which is offered to university students around the world.  At the same time we assist employers in many ways, helping them develop a well balanced and productive workforce; providing training and guidance in dealing with this unique workforce. Regardless of their beliefs we serve the students and treat them with equality, never forcing our beliefs. This unique ministry successfully blends business and ministry.
