Info for Students

Information is provided about housing, employment, transportation and other important information about living and working on the Outer Banks.

"I know what I am doing. I have it all planned out--plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen. When you come looking for me, you'll find me."

- To you, from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Welcome to America and to the Outer Banks of North Carolina!

This website section provides basic information for international students visiting the Outer Banks under the US State Department’s Work/Travel (J-1) exchange program.

Our goal at Pathways is to help the students get established and oriented so that you can enjoy the unique attractions of our islands. Our focus is on the most immediate and critical needs of the international student population.

High on this list is helping the students understand where we are and how to get to the Outer Banks.
